Competent and compassionate staff
Hall-Baker Funeral Home held such a beautiful service for my uncle. I have been to a couple other funeral's, which also took place at hall&baker, that were very nice as well. Definitely deserving of 5/5 stars.
The lives of two generations of my direct family; including my mother from Michigan, have been celebrated here; with others in my family as well. While the saddest situations bring you here; the staff here are amazing and are ready and able to help you deal with the crisis. I recommend their services to anyone at any level; especially if you want it done right. They handled ALL details once decisions were made to allow things to move forward quickly and easily; including interstate transportation.
Mark and his staff were a great help to our family in planning the memorial service for my father. With everything happening so suddenly, they were a breath of fresh air with taking care of all the little details so we could deal with what we needed to do.
One in Danville is old, dirty, antequated equipment, they had a casket containing the petsin for next day in a parlor where we could sit... i call that disrespectful to that person and i would have beed livid, knowing my loved one was pretty much out there and gor that long. The owner was funeral director and he smelled like alcohol at 9:30 am, we had to find people to restock bathrooms, find them to orchestrate some things, at cemetary they dumped flowers in a pile. Poor ran operation. They did do well in making our loved one look good, and they had tent withheater at gravesite. I will not use them or teccimend
