I took my vehicle there for an oil change and they called to tell me that I needed to replace my serpentine belt in a hurry because it was going to snap at any minute and they would be glad to do it. I took my vehicle home and replaced it myself. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old one. I took my other vehicle in 2 weeks later for an oil change and was told again that my serpentine belt was in danger of snapping and that it needs to be replaced today! I inspected it myself and there was nothing wrong with it and it only has 60k miles on the vehicle...... It has been 6 months and it is still doing fine..... I understand that making money is part of any business, but you will thrive over time by being honest due to repeat customers, not if you lose them by being dishonest.

About two weeks later my car broke down. The engine was seized due to it not having any oil. How is this possible unless they didn't put any oil back in? (I did not have any oil leaks)
I feel as though since i am a female the manager treated me as though i knew nothing about vehicle maintenance. He was very rude and did not even offer to give me a hard copy of the inspection that they supposedly performed while performing my oil change. He acted dumbfounded when i asked him for one. Isn't it common practice to fill out the form while changing the oil?
I've been going to Midas for years hands down they are the best most professional and reasonably priced they'll explain anything to you to a point where you'll understand and they'll bring up issues that might cost you down the road to prevent a costly expense the one I go to in Plainfield hands down nobody can touch him
